ALL GREAT JOURNEYS START WITH A SINGLE STEP
Founded in 2003 by a group of like-minded individuals seeking camraderie in off roading, exploration, and adventure, Adirondack Jeeps is a 501.3(c) non- profit off road club , for ALL brands of 4x4s. Focusing on safe, responsible, and legal ,family -friendly recreational off roading, we adhere to the principles set forth by TreadLightly.org, including trail stewardship, education, and partnering with other OHV organizations, land owners, and local governments to ensure continued access to public lands, and forge partnerships to help grow access to new private properties.
As a member club of the NEA4WDA, we are community focused, encouraging our members to take part in trail rides, clean ups, and community service activities and events. We organize trail rides and meetings once a month, and larger trips at least once a year.
Our trails are a mix of public and private properties, ranging in difficulty from stock friendly , to difficult, extreme rock crawling trails intended for off road only vehicles and buggies. These trails are rated 1-10, originally based on the trail ratings set forth by Jeep Jamboree USA (no, we are not affiliated, they just have a really good system).
We are currently working on our schedule! Please check back soon to see what we are up to, or reach out to a club representative via email or our socials! See you on the trail!
Dues are $50 per year, per household. All drivers must have a membership application on file and attend at least 1 meeting and 1 event, before having membership approved. Passengers and other members of the household must have a waiver on file if they plan on attending a ride. Your vehicle must be registered and insured, and also meet club tech specs, as follow:
Tech inspections will be conducted before every ride and additional requirements are subject to the Trail Leader and club Trail Boss. If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out to a club representative.
Every Trail is rated from 1 (easiest) to 10 (most difficult). These ratings are based on the overall trail, not just on one or two tough obstacles. Rain can increase ratings on all trails by one or two points. Numerically higher-rated trails are more likely to result in vehicle damage. Please remember, every vehicle is subject to inspection prior to trail departure.
Tread Lightly! and its partners lead a national initiative to protect and enhance recreation access and opportunities by promoting outdoor ethics to heighten individuals’ sense of good stewardship.
